19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player secured his first title for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has had a torrid year, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after March of that year.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children together, so to get a title is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and compete positively, backed up by an improved service.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped break points in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent saved 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he earned the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
