The Prince of Wales Plans to Join COP30 Climate Summit in South America
The Prince of Wales plans to participate in the COP30 climate summit in Brazil during November, according to the royal household.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the climate summit, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.
The King and Prince were present at the museum gathering, marking an rare public appearance together at a pre-COP30 gathering arranged together with the British authorities.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be held in Brazil before the climate conference.
Royal sources have described Prince William's attendance at the next COP as taking on an crucial position in "environmental negotiations".
Previous Activities
The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the state Bentley, were introduced to guests including conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, diplomats and politicians.
This involvement involved presentations in concert with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.

The COP30 summit will coincide with the William's personal climate innovation prizes, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he participates in the climate conference on November 6th.
Recently the prince referred to the award contenders as "heroes of our time".

The monarch has been a prominent presence at past COP meetings, giving the opening address in Dubai for COP28, including the statement: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
